What does each tool measure?
Is It Agent Ready
Is It Agent Ready scans a website URL and checks emerging standards for AI agents. On 2026-11-06 the tool page listed these groups:
- Discoverability: robots.txt, sitemap, Link response headers and DNS for AI Discovery (DNS-AID).
- Content accessibility: Markdown content negotiation.
- Bot access control: AI bot rules in robots.txt, Content Signals and Web Bot Auth.
- API, auth and MCP: API Catalog, OAuth discovery, OAuth Protected Resource, Auth.md, MCP Server Card, A2A Agent Card, Agent Skills, WebMCP, ARD manifest and Personal Agent Protocol (Poppy).
- Commerce: x402, MPP, UCP and ACP.
You can choose a site type (All Checks, Content Site, or API / Application) or pick single checks with Customize scan. After the scan, an Improve the score option copies instructions you can paste into a coding agent. The page warns that these instructions are AI generated and may contain mistakes.
Cloudflare's launch post (page date 2026-04-17) describes four scored dimensions and says commerce checks are reported but do not count toward the score. The post gives no point weights. It says the default content check tests Markdown negotiation and not llms.txt.
SeenLens
SeenLens scans one page URL with 38 deterministic checks in five dimensions: AI crawler access (30%), content structure (25%), structured data (15%), agent readiness (15%) and technical delivery (15%). It returns a score from 0 to 100, five dimension scores and the top three issues. The scan is free and needs no account. The score measures readiness. It does not query any AI engine and does not count mentions. See how the scan works.
The agent readiness dimension covers llms.txt, a Markdown version of the page, ai-catalog.json, the API Catalog, OAuth metadata, the A2A agent card, the UCP profile and WebMCP. The other four dimensions cover what Is It Agent Ready does not list: firewall responses to AI user agents, content that needs JavaScript, noindex and snippet rules, headings, JSON-LD, canonical URLs and Core Web Vitals.
How much does each tool cost?
Is It Agent Ready. On 2026-11-06 the tool page showed no price, no plan and no sign-in step. Cloudflare's launch post says the same checks are available in Cloudflare URL Scanner and through an API. It gives no pricing for either. If you plan to scan many sites, ask Cloudflare about limits and cost before you depend on it.
SeenLens. The scan is free. The AI Visibility Report costs USD 49 once per URL, with a 7-day money-back guarantee. There is no subscription and no account. See the pricing page.

When is Is It Agent Ready the better choice?
Choose Is It Agent Ready in these cases:
- You run an API, an app or a developer platform and want to know if agents can discover it. The tool checks OAuth, MCP Server Card, Agent Skills and A2A Agent Card files.
- You need to test Web Bot Auth, DNS-AID, Link headers or the x402, MPP and ACP commerce protocols. SeenLens does not check them.
- You want a scan that lets you pick single checks or a site type, and a block of instructions to hand to a coding agent.
- Your page is already reachable, readable and well structured, and you only want to know which agent standards are still missing.
When is SeenLens the better choice?
Choose SeenLens in these cases:
- AI search tools do not cite your page and you do not know the cause. SeenLens tests whether a firewall blocks AI user agents, whether the main text needs JavaScript, and whether robots.txt, noindex or snippet rules keep the page out of answers.
- You run a content site, shop or documentation site where the page text, headings and JSON-LD matter more than OAuth or MCP files.
- You want a written report for one URL with the cause, fix and evidence for every issue, online and as a PDF to send to a developer.
- You want the AI crawler rules checked in detail. The free AI crawler checker shows the matched robots.txt rule for each named crawler.
Can I use both?
Yes. The two tools overlap in several checks and differ in others, so they work as two views of the same site. A practical order:
- Run the free SeenLens scan on your most important page. Fix any crawler access or firewall problem first, because agents cannot use files they cannot fetch.
- Run Is It Agent Ready on the site. Fix the agent standards that fit your site type.
- Fix shared items once. robots.txt rules, Content Signals and a Markdown version of the page count in both tools.
- Scan again with both. Do not compare scores between the tools. Each tool uses its own checks and its own weights.
Frequently asked questions
Who makes Is It Agent Ready?
The page footer reads "Cloudflare, Inc." and Cloudflare introduced the scanner on its blog. See the launch post.
Is Is It Agent Ready free?
The tool page shows no price and asks for no sign-in. It does not say whether the scan stays free. Check the tool page before you rely on it.
Does a high agent readiness score get my site cited by AI?
No source we found shows that. Neither Is It Agent Ready nor SeenLens queries AI engines. Both measure whether your site supports the standards they test. The SeenLens score measures readiness and does not predict citations.
Does a content site need OAuth and MCP files?
Is It Agent Ready offers a Content Site preset for sites that are not APIs. A content site has no API to protect, so OAuth and MCP checks may not apply to it. Decide with your developer which checks match your site.
What does SeenLens check that Is It Agent Ready does not list?
SeenLens checks firewall responses to AI user agents, content that needs JavaScript, noindex and snippet rules, title, meta description and headings, JSON-LD, canonical URL, Core Web Vitals and HTTP status. See the list of checks.
